DACRYCARPUS DACRYDIOIDES - KAHIKATEA

A dominant bush-dwelling plant which grows particularly well in lowland forests and wetlands. The bark is flaky and brown and the leaves a fine brown which turn blue/green with age. Kahikatea are excellent water filters for damper soils making them a great tree to plant around ponds and low lying areas.
