QUERCUS SUBER - CORK OAK
A medium sized evergreen oak tree with small, leathery, green, slightly serrated leaves, and a unique bark of cork which is rugged and cracked with a light grey colour and reddish brown tones in the fissures. Open branching as the tree gets bigger. Slow growing and long-lived. It is a primary source of cork.
