BEILSCHMIEDIA TARAIRI - TARAIRE
A distinctive New Zealand native with stout spreading branches creating a canopy as the tree gets older. Green leaves are oval in shape and the branches and trunk have a smooth brown bark. The Taraire is tropical looking with glossy green leaves and very distinctive depressed veins. It is a source of food for the New Zealand pigeon and is found growing naturally around the North Island. It grows best with companion plants or trees.
