ALBIZIA JULIBRISSIN - SILK TREE
Elegant and graceful, the Albizia makes a beautiful shade tree or specimen in a street or park. It develops a natural umbrella shape and its soft foliage provides a canopy of dappled light. Leaves close slowly at night and give a fine fern-like appearance. Silk trees are incredibly decorative in summer when hundreds of pink powder-puff flowers line the branches, creating a parasol effect. They also have an appealing fragrance and are a good nectar source for birds and bees. Bark is a light brown to grey colour. Seed pods are light brown in colour.
